Nashville Tennessee

Named after Revolutionary war hero General Francis Nash, Nashville Tennessee, is world famous as Music City. Founded on Christmas Eve in 1779, Nashville became famous as a country music center with the launch of the WSM Barn Dance (later known as the Grand Ole Opry) by WSM radio. Grand Ole Opry Museum -

Nashville Ryman Auditorium -

The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville was home to Grand Ole Opry for over 30 years. It reopened as a performance venue in 1974, when The Opry was moved to the Opryland USA complex . The auditorium with its graceful interior is at its best during performances.

Nashville Zoo -

Formally known as BNA (Berry Field NAshville), the airport's name was changed to Nashville International Airport in 1988. Nashville Airport is served by 17 carriers and provides nonstop and air service to nearly 84 cities in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

Gaylord Entertainment Center -

Facing the Ryman is the Gaylord Entertainment Center which serves as a tribute to Nashville's musical heritage. This entertainment centre hosts variety of events like national touring events, professional sports franchises, musical concerts and hometown entertainment.

Nashville Speedway -

Nashville Superspeedway is a 1.33-mile concrete tri-oval track with seating for 50,000 race fans with ability to expand to 150,000. This facility has been awarded with two races by NASCAR to go with its Indy Racing League event & NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race.

Hickory Hollow Mall -

Hickory Hollow Mall has over 150 specialty stores and five anchor stores including Dillard's, Hecht's, JCPenney, Linens 'N Things and Sears. Apart from store the Mall is also a great place for fun & food with over 15 eateries and a 600 seat food court.

Nashville Coliseum (Titans) -

This 67,000-seat natural grass palace was designed by stadium-architecture behemoth HOK Sports Facilities Group. Just east of the Cumberland River, the Nashville Coliseum sits on 105 acres with hundreds of trees, 144 luxury suites and 60 concession stands.

Nashville Shores -

Nashville's hottest water theme park has three pools, miniature golf, boat and Jet-ski rentals, picnic areas, and sandy beaches. Nashville Shores provide extensive recreational facilities coupled with a wide assortment of meeting facilities designed for business and family fun.

Downtown Nashville -

Downtown Nashville is a compact and pleasant place to wander. At downtown's western end, the 1845 Greek Revival State Capitol remains the area's principal landmark. Steep stairs on its northern side lead down to a farmers market and the Tennessee Bicentennial Mall at downtown's back door.
